Welcome to NUGA in Reykjavik

We are pleased to invite you to the 35th Bi-Annual Meeting of the Nordic Urogynecological Association (NUGA). The conference will be held from 11–12 May 2028 in Reykjavik, Iceland.

NUGA brings together urogynecologists and other healthcare professionals from across the Nordic countries to share the latest clinical knowledge and research in urogynecology. The meeting provides a focused forum for evidence-based discussion, professional exchange and presentation of new scientific work.

The scientific program is relevant to specialists working with female pelvic floor disorders, including gynaecologists, urogynecologists, urologists, general practitioners, continence nurses, physiotherapists, researchers and other allied healthcare professionals.

Urogynecology and pelvic floor topics

The NUGA meeting covers clinical practice, research and emerging developments across urogynecology and female pelvic medicine. Core topics include assessment and treatment of urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse and other pelvic floor disorders.

Urinary incontinence

Diagnosis, conservative management, pharmacological treatment, surgery and current evidence in female urinary incontinence.

Pelvic organ prolapse

Assessment, prevention, non-surgical management, surgical approaches and outcomes in pelvic organ prolapse.

Pelvic floor dysfunction

Multidisciplinary perspectives on pelvic floor function, dysfunction, continence and quality of life.

Clinical research

Original research, dissertations and submitted abstracts with opportunities for early-career researchers to present their work.

About the Nordic Urogynecological Association

The Nordic Urogynecological Association (NUGA) is a non-profit organisation with representatives from Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden. NUGA organises scientific meetings for professionals working in urogynecology, urology, gynaecology, continence care and related fields.

A central aim of NUGA is to strengthen Nordic collaboration, support young scientists and encourage high-quality research. Meeting proceeds support research grants and scientific prizes, including recognition of outstanding abstracts and promising young researchers.
